Lights... Camera... Smile!
Hello people of the USA! I am here to tell you about a AWESOME comic book called... "Drum Roll Please?" Smile by: Raina Telgemeier! This is a true story that happened to Ms. Raina Telgemeier. She trips and falls and injures her 2 front teeth very badly. At the dentist's that night, she gets a "cast" for her 2 front teeth. The next day, she doesn't go to school. But she doesn't go to school until like, 1 week ("Lucky Duck!" I thought about it and heres to the help of this quote: losthero!) ! In 7th grade, a little bit of "romance" happens. Lets head back to 6th grade! So, um... let see... oh yes! After a week of "vacation", she goes back to school. In one of her classes, a boy named Juan asks her what the white stuff was on her teeth. That made Raina probably nervous. I gave you a lot of details when she was in 6th grade! Don't tell me I didn't tell you anything about the book! Just warning you. Oh yeah! Raina gets br (mmph!)... never mind. Make sure to read this wonderful comic book by Raina Telgemeier. ~Cherry Pop Book Photo is from: barnesandnoble.com

Calling All People!!!
Ciao! I'm reading this book called Inside Out and Back Again by Thanhha Lai. It's about a 10 year old girl escaping South Vietnam or Saigon because of the Vietnam War, her father was in the Navy and was captured by the communists about a couple of years ago and she never heard from him since then. She had to lose alot of things from her loved home and move to America. And by the way, when she's in school, and it's lunch time, she eats candy in the bathroom because she's so new and all the stuff are overwelming. What you should know about this book is that it's a pauble. Read and enjoy!! -Twilightsky

Are you a Loser...? or a Queen?
I would like to recommend the book Loser/Queen by:Jodi Lynn Anderson.
The book is about this girl named Cammy. Cammy lives with her grandparents because her parents weren't there...
Cammy isn't really known for being cool/pretty/smart etc. She's known for embarrassing herself and doing foolish things, half of the time people don't even notice her. But that ALL changes.
One day she gets a mysterious text from an unknown number telling her to do all these things and that it'll help her. Cammy does everything the texter says, even when she has no clue who it is. Soon everything changes. "Cammy's trading up, and people are talking." Will this mysterious texter give Cammy everything she wants? Or will the texter go too far?
Also if anyone wants a book that fills with suspense, mystery, life changing events (this book sort of changed the way i thought of things) and drama, read this bored-filling book. Note: i spent about 3 hours straight reading this. That is how grabbing the book is.
Also this book is a bit.... inappropriate, For many many reasons so if you think you can't handle it/isn't ready, don't read it.
I got the picture from barnesandnoble.com. Also one of the sentences, was in the the actual book.

whales
I have just recently finished a book called Whale by Vassili Papastavrou. The book is all about whales and facts and relatives of whales and everything about the whale. There are some very interesting facts like the Sperm whale eats Giant squid and one of the giant squids a sperm whale ate was thirty seven feet long. I like the book because it has many weird and interesting facts. The book also makes you have sympathy for the whales by saying that we kill so many whales, and one of the spiecies and the biggest animal of all time we killed so many there are only 400 left in the whole world so it makes you feel sad. Overall good book for non-fiction readers you should read it.

Double Dutch!
Hey guys, I am reading a book called Double Dutch by Sharon M. Draper, the author who wrote out of my mind. It's about an 8th grader who has been keeping this secret since ? grade, and I think you will be horrified if you hear it. Anyways, something terrible/ good happened that can be connected to what we did today, 3-31-11. And, of course, Delia LOVES double dutch. If you read out of my mind by Sharon M. Draper, also read this! You can also learn alot of important things from this book, and it has to do something with empathy, truth, lies, and fearrrr. -Twilightsky P.S. The characters in this book are going through hard things. So please be aware. Well, that's teenage life.

What would you do if you can't walk or talk?
What would you do if you can't talk or walk? It would be frustrating!!! Out of my Mind by Sharon M. Draper is about a girl almost 11 being fed, being pushed to here and there, getting help from someone when she needs to use the toilet, and much more. The cover may look really boring and you might think the main character's perspective is from a fish. But it's actually not. There really funny parts in the book, to. Like when her dad takes a step on the stairs and fart. So funny! I can relate to that! My grandpa does that too. Just imagine... Step, fart, step, fart, step, fart! Enjoy reading! Twilightsky

"Hope is the thing with Feathers..."
I happily finished Feathers by: Jaqueline Woodson. This is told from he perspective of a nine year old girl named Frannie, there is no segregation at this time so it's happened after the 1970's.
This fantastic book is about this girl named Frannie (as i said) and shes African-American and she lives on one side of the highway where all the African-Americans live and the other side is where the Americans live. One day there was a new kid, he is American and he enters her school, as i quote from our book club, "You can actually feel the awkwardness". They start to call him "Jesus boy" . As i write an excerpt please enjoy!
"It's just all so surreal," Samantha said again. "You wake up one day and it's wintertime and there's snow falling. You wake up another day and there's a new boy in the class with wild hair, named Jesus."
As this delicious soup filled with carrots of romance, potatoes of change, and the noodles of Hope canned in this beautiful book!
Love,

Welcome to Kit's World A informational text about the great depression
Dear Book Enthusiasts,
I was reading a book called Welcome to Kit's World. Sounds like a story does'nt it. But if you think so it, is'nt! This book has so many facts about the Great Depression. If you're wondering what that is, it's a long story. Before the economic downturn, people abused money like they were never were goin to run out of it. Well...you're going to feel so bad for those people. One day on Wall Street, (the stock trading area in NYC) Stock Traders came to trade and sell their share of stocks. No one...BOUGHT OR SOLD ANYTHING! The bank was going to close so everyone rushed to the bank to withdraw their life savings. They called that horrific day BLACK TUESDAY!!!!! People could'nt pay their mortgage so you know what that means...FORCLOSURE!(when the bank takes away the house). Over time it got worse. People became homeless. Also...I'm sure you heard the word hobo from television shows. But hobos were men that were homeless during the economic plunge. They were also sometimes girls. Tramps and Bums are different names for Hobos. People were very afraid of them and often thought they were dangerous people. Well you better read the Book to find learn about that time of history.

Drift House
I want to recommend A Drift House Voyage: The Lost Cities by Dale Peck.
It's about a drift house in the Sea of Time, but there's gotta be something that perks up the book!!! A little boy and a parrot named President Wilson is left behind. They got no food, no shelter, no nothing. Except, a book. Yeah, a book. Sorr-Actually, I don't even feel sorry. That's all I got so far. Read on.
Guess who.
*swish* *swish*
Is that what I think it is? NOOOOO
When the house goes down, you take the life vest. Put it over your shoulder, do the little kids 1st. You can do it manually, or you can pull the string. If you can not keep up, keep up.
OKAY, the house goes down, a little boy and President Wilson is left behind. There's no food, no shelter, no entertainment, all there's left, is, a book...

any address or phone information
We are making our blog more authentic and realistic...and we may soon start our news blog.
We will eventually make a chart that you can use to figure out who is who.

the most intresting book ever "you should try this book"
If you need a good book do I have a good recommendation for you this book is called The missing found and this book will get you hooked till you finish the whole book. Then after you tried the missing found try to read the missing sent I have it so you cant read it till I'm finished.
so back to the missing found when you usually don't read about adoption and mystery's and this book has a lot of action going on, where I'm now this boy Jonah is meeting his real dad the birth parents as some say it and he really feels mad because his dad is criticizing his parents and I think Jonahs real dad should stop criticizing and think about how they helped Jonah and he hasn't really done anything to help Jonah so if he starts helping Jonah out maybe he should tell Jonah sorry for all he's been through and about all this adoption thing. cool air

Where the Red Fern Grows
Hi, Readers --
Have you ever wanted something so badly you saved up your pennies in a tin can for over a year? In this book, the author, Wilson Rawls, writes of his boyhood dream and his adventures of owning two hound dogs. One of my favorite memories of fifth grade is reading Where the Red Fern Grows and discussing it with my friends and teacher. I must've read and reread this book 15 times throughout my life, sometimes aloud. Caution: you may want to run out and buy a dog or take one home you find on the street. Please ask your parents before doing this. I recommend reading Where the Red Fern Grows, but I do not recommend bringing home a dog without talking with your family first.
Small Steps

I would like to recommend the book Small Steps by:Louis Sachar. It is sort of like a sequel to Holes but it's about Armpit. When everyone got out of Camp Green Lake, they went into their separate ways. This book is about Armpit. He doesn't have the best life. No one really trust him, only his next door neighbour Ginny. Then all of a sudden, one day X-ray (guy from Camp Green Lake) comes and asks Armpit if he wants to be involved in a plan to get money fast. Armpit wasn't sure at first but then agreed to help. His agreement will change his life, most likely forever.
